Swansea City have enjoyed a strong start to the season, with Steve Cooper's side currently occupying the final play-off place in the Championship.

In fairness, that was to be expected. The Swans finished in the top six last season and were always hoping to be pushing for promotion now.

Whilst the start to the campaign has been encouraging, there are a few issues that need to be sorted in the team, and that could see Cooper look to strengthen his squad in the January window.

As well as incomings though, some Swansea players may be eyeing up an exit. Here we look at TWO that may want to move in the New Year...

Swansea City quiz: Are these 12 facts about the Swans’ history genuine or not?

Steven Benda

The talented keeper spent last season on loan at Swindon, impressing as they won promotion to League One.

However, with Freddie Woodman the number one with Swansea, Benda has spent eh vast majority of this season on the bench and it can't be helping his development.

So, a loan move may benefit both parties. It will allow the 22-year-old to play regularly and it could help Swansea in the long run if he comes back a better player. Although, it may depend on whether Cooper can find a suitable backup in January.

Wayne Routledge

The 35-year-old is a hero to Swansea fans for all he has done over the years and there was genuine excitement when he agreed to stay for another year.

But, this season hasn't really gone to plan for Routledge. Whilst he is no doubt a positive influence on the training ground, just one league appearance will leave him frustrated.

He may want to get one more run of games before he hangs up his boots and that's not going to happen at Swansea when you look at the quality they have.
