Swansea City have had a very good start to the season, picking up ten points from their opening four games.
Having reached the play-offs last season, many have tipped Steve Cooper’s side to do the same again in this campaign, even if a few influential loan players departed.
However, new recruits such as Morgan Gibbs-White and Jamal Lowe have impressed and the young squad the Swans have are a year older.
But, fans of the club may be worried right up until deadline day because a lot of the talent in their squad has been linked with moves away and the board have shown in the past that they will cash in if a big offer arrives.
With that in mind, we look at TWO players who could depart before Friday’s domestic window shuts…
Quiz: Do Cardiff City and Swansea City have these 10 things in common?
We’ll start with the obvious one. It’s no secret that Tottenham are desperate to land the Welsh international and they have the funds to make this transfer happen.
You would imagine the chance to play European football, work under Jose Mourinho and receive a significant wage rise is also going to appeal to the player, so if a suitable offer arrives, he is likely to go.
It’s going to be a nervy few days ahead for the Swans but the recruitment team must surely be planning on how they can replace the 22-year-old in case the worst happens and he does depart.
Losing two first-team players in the final days of the window would be a major blow but it could happen to Swansea.
That’s because Andre Ayew is also attracting Premier League interest and financially it would make a lot of sense to move the Ghana international on.
His wages are well-documented to be extremely high for a Championship club and once again, if the right money is on the table you can’t see the club standing in his way.
