Sunderland boss Jack Ross will be impressed with the start his side have made to life in League One, as they attempt to return back to the Championship at the first time of asking.

The Black Cats are currently third in the table and have only been beaten once in their opening 13 league games, and Ross will be confident of his side maintaining that solid start to the season.

The form shown by the likes of Josh Maja gives Sunderland fans every right to think they will return to the second tier of football next season. Maja has been in incredible form this season and has already scored nine goals, which is six more than his closest Sunderland team mate, Lee Cattermole.

Sunderland travel to Doncaster Rovers in what is likely to be a stern test for Ross' side if they are to justify their title credentials this season.

But, what transfer developments will Ross be hoping don't happen in January with the transfer window approaching?

Find out here....

The form of Josh Maja has led Sunderland up the table in League One and he will be key to their promotion bid this season.

The 19-year-old's good form has seen him attract interest from England's biggest clubs, with the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham both reportedly interested in signing the youngster.

Jack Ross will be hoping that Maja will see out this season on his contract before considering offers from elsewhere, as he is Sunderland's most important player and if they lose him in January they could miss out on promotion.

Sinclair arrived at the League One club on loan from Watford and has slowly picked up his match fitness as the season has progressed.

Sunderland will be keen to keep hold of the former Liverpool youngster, who has made six appearances for Jack Ross' side this season.

They will hope he can ease the weight on Maja's shoulders to provide the goals for the Black Cats.
