Sunderland have had a strong start to the season as they look to win promotion back to the Championship.
Phil Parkinson has had a pretty busy window as he looks to build a squad capable of challenging at the top and he will be satisfied with how the early part of the campaign has gone.
Despite that, the Black Cats could still be active ahead of Friday’s domestic deadline and fans may feel one or two new additions can take the team up another level.

There is a lot of excitement surrounding the Sunderland youngster and it’s understandable as the wide man is hugely talented – as he showed on loan with Harrogate in the National League last season.
Whilst he is on the fringes right now, the League One side may feel a loan move may be best for his development and there would be plenty of takers.
So, it may not be a popular move but it could be a decision that pays off further down the line if Diamond is going to be restricted to substitute appearances this season.
A productive pre-season meant some thought Grigg could finally thrive for Sunderland but he has had a frustrating first few weeks, having featured in just two league games.
Another striker could be arriving in the coming days and that would limit Grigg’s game time further.
When you add in the fact the style of play doesn’t seem to bring the best out of the Northern Ireland international then a switch could happen and it would make sense.
