2 Sunderland changes Ross should consider ahead of the weekend

Sunderland made it five league wins in a row last time out as they moved into the top two with victory at Plymouth.

Jack Ross’ side are starting to look the part in the third tier, with the Black Cats boasting several quality individuals at that level.

However, the league won’t be the focus this weekend as they prepare to take on Port Vale in the FA Cup first round. It’s new territory for the Wearside outfit who usually enter in the New Year.

Even though the league is the priority, Ross will want his side to maintain the positive momentum that surrounds the club and they’re set to be backed by a large following.

Yet, it does present the former St. Mirren boss with a chance to bring in those who have been on the fringes in recent weeks.
