Sheffield Wednesday have had somewhat of a resurgence under new manager Steve Bruce, who is still undefeated.

The ex-Villa boss has brought a sense of confidence back to Hillsborough that was missing under Jos Luhukay.

While the play-offs are on, it won’t be disastrous by any means if the Owls just achieved a mid-table spot and came back stronger next season.

Bruce made a few deadline day signings, but he will be looking forward to the summer transfer window, where he may get a chance to bring in some more of his own players.

Here, we look at two players we think they must be monitoring ahead of potential summer transfers.

Do you agree, or can you think of another player that you think they should try to sign at the end of this season? Let us know in the comments section below.

Albert Adomah

Albert Adomah has hardly started for Villa all season, but more so since Bruce’s departure.

Bruce was the man to get the best out of Adomah, and he would be a great signing for Sheffield Wednesday, if Bruce wants to be reunited with the 31-year-old.

There is still more for Adomah to offer in the Championship.

Jordan Hugill

Jordan Hugill is on loan at Middlesbrough this season but clubs such as Sheffield Wednesday certainly have a chance at signing Hugill in the summer.

He had a failed stint at West Ham, but is still an excellent striker at this level, and Bruce might love him at Hillsborough with the number of persistent injuries they get up top.
