Reading suffered their 14th league defeat of the season on Saturday as they were downed 2-0 by Neil Harris' impressive Millwall.

The Royals were seeking a consecutive league win after beating lowly Burton Albion 3-1 at the Pirelli Stadium last week, though they were denied a victory as the team from south London dominated proceedings.

Two goals in the space of three minutes sent the points back to the new Den, as a Leandro Bacuna own-goal in the 70th minute was shortly followed up by a fine goal from Lions forward Lee Gregory in the 73rd minute.

The result puts the pressure heavily on manager Jaap Stam as the Royals languish in 18th spot in the league table.

One player who was handed his third league start in a row, and whom is the focus of our FLW Spotlight today is Jon Dadi Bodvarsson.

The Icelandic attacker enjoyed a fruitful match against Burton prior to the Millwall clash, scoring twice against the Brewers - however Saturday proved a tough gig for the lofty striker.

The striker chased every ball that was presented to him on the weekend, but his endeavour and effort didn't bring much reward against the resilient Lions.

Bodvarsson managed to win three aerial duels against a tall Millwall defence which included former Royals player Jake Cooper, but ultimately the £2.7m-rated striker was confined to just two shots during the whole contest - something that needs to improve.

The former Wolves man had a pass success rate of 64.3% during the match with Millwall which is not the best, yet isn't the worst for a striker who's main role is to hold the ball up and cause hassle for the opposition defence.

All in all, it was a pretty average performance from the Icelandic striker, though, the same can be said for the entire Reading team.

Though Bodvarsson was one player who showed a will to play for the shirt, something that cannot be said for a number of other Royals players.
