After a fantastic first half to the season things really went downhill for Blackburn and Tony Mowbray in the past month or so.

A run of seven games without a win, which included six defeats, meant that any outside hopes of the play-offs have disappeared. However, that's still not a disaster for a newly-promoted side.

Nevertheless, they really needed to stop the rot against Wigan last night and they did so in style, running out 3-0 winners against their rivals.

And, once again it was Danny Graham who played a big part in the win - as our graphic shows.

The 33-year-old struck the first two goals for Rovers before he was subbed and it continued his fine form that has perhaps slipped under the radar this season.

Graham now has 13 goals for the campaign, a very good return when you consider he is playing for a side in the bottom half.

It means he is only one goal behind his entire total from League One last season and he is set for his second-best career return too.

Even though it's clear to see that his goalscoring instincts and movement are his main attribute, the ex-Sunderland man was also a handful for the Latics defence last night and kept the ball well, which is vital in the role he plays.

It capped off what was a great night for the experienced striker and ensured that Mowbray's men got back to winning ways after their awful run.
