Marcelo Bielsa hasn’t changed much at Leeds United but he’s made a massive difference and has the Whites just four games away from a Premier League return.

Leeds beat Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 on Saturday evening, with the Whites capitalising on more Sheffield United dropped points.

And it was the goal of one of Bielsa’s few recruits that made the difference, with Jack Harrison’s neat touch beating the impressive Keiren Westwood in goal.

In this latest FLW Spotlight, we shine the light on Harrison’s outing:

In 86 minutes Harrison had two shots on goal, scoring the game’s only goal.

The 22-year-old winger completed one successful dribble against the Owls, whilst there was 20 passes and one key pass, which came at a success rate of 65%.

The Verdict

It hasn’t been the most convincing loan spell at Leeds, but Harrison has made a couple of big contributions this season when the Whites have been looking for someone to step up.

Westwood was in great form on Saturday and kept Leeds at bay for over an hour. However, Harrison scored with a great touch, with the Manchester City winger not giving the Wednesday goalkeeper a chance with his finish.

Other areas of Harrison’s game often leave a lot to be desired, but he’s improving and definitely benefiting from an extended run in the side.

Saturday’s contribution was one of Harrison’s better performances in a Leeds shirt but ultimately, it is only the goal that might be remembered, mainly because of how big it could be in the promotion race.

There’s now a sense of expectancy at Leeds heading into the final four games of the season, and come May 5th, it might be Harrison’s goal and Millwall’s comeback that’s considered a big turning point.
