Sheffield Wednesday didn't have the busiest transfer window but with Darren Moore's side flying high at the top of League One they weren't in a position where they needed to do a lot of deals.

Losing Mark McGuinness was a blow but the experienced Aden Flint should fill that void and overall the Owls have a squad that they will feel is capable of winning automatic promotion.

Moore has already touched on how difficult the mid-season window can be and whilst the focus is usually on incomings, it's a task to keep hold of those at Hillsborough now.

And, here we look at TWO players who may be disappointed that they couldn't secure a move away last month...

Jaden Brown

It's been a tough season so far for the defender who is simply way down the pecking order having made just two appearances in the league this season, the last of which was in October.

Moore has already admitted that the player wants to get game time which is totally understandable so he will be frustrated that he hasn't got a move to get minutes elsewhere.

But, Wednesday clearly feel they need him as cover so it will be a case of waiting until the summer before Brown departs.

Callum Paterson

It's no secret that Hearts were keen to re-sign Paterson in the window and there were some suggestions that the player was open to a move.

He hasn't been the first-team regular that he perhaps wanted to be, although he has stepped up in the past few weeks which have highlighted his importance to the squad.

Like Brown, Paterson is out of contract in the summer so it will be interesting to see where his future lies long-term.
