Sheffield Wednesday have had a mixed start to the season after they were with a 12 point deduction that meant they started the campaign bottom of the Championship.

A win, two draws and a defeat is a respectable start but the Owls are still cut adrift and Garry Monk will be hoping his team can go on a consistent run after the international break.

However, to do that, he may need to make a few more changes to his squad ahead of Friday's deadline.

Quiz: Do Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United have these 10 things in common?

The Yorkshire outfit have been linked with a move for Cardiff City's Aden Flint and many feel they are short in the final third, so it could be an interesting few days ahead.

Yet, any new arrivals may depend on outgoings too, such is the situation at Hillsborough. Here we look at TWO players who could depart to free up space and funds for new recruits...

Keiren Westwood

The former Ireland international is third-choice and seemingly has no future with Wednesday but the club haven't agreed to let him go for some reason.

If any interested club will take on his wages, or even a decent percentage, then it should be a no-brainer and the keeper's desperation to leave to get regular minutes should see an agreement reached before the deadline.

Julian Borner

The 29-year-old was a regular last season but he couldn't even make the match day squad last time out and is now way down the pecking order.

When you factor in the Owls could also add Aden Flint at centre-back, whilst Chey Dunkley is returning from injury, it's hard to see how the German is going to play. Therefore, a temporary move away would make sense, ensuring Borner can play regularly until January when he may look to seal a transfer back to Germany.
