Sheffield Wednesday have certainly had a better start to the season than many might have imagined.

They were one of the under-fire teams in the summer, desperately fighting against the spectre of financial ruin and watching their site gently break apart.

Jos Luhukay couldn't bring in new players and very little was expected from them this season, at least by the mainstream media.

They're currently 11th in the table, but the right set of results tonight could, in theory, see them climb to third this evening.

That is testament not only to Luhukay's ability as a coach, but also one or two wonderful players who have been outstanding this season.

FLW identify two that Sheffield Wednesday need to give a pay rise to immediately, because it might just keep them at the club in January.

Bannan has been beyond excellent, he's far and away the best player at Hillsborough and whatever they're paying him, it isn't enough.

He was instrumental this weekend in their 2-2 draw with Stoke City and doubtless he will be tonight against Forest too.

Reach has been a versatile player in the past, but he's recently found himself in a suited advanced midfield position and is thriving.

The further forward he is, the better he is and once the left back position is sorted properly, Reach will go from strength to strength.

Best to get him on a good deal now, get in before the others see what the 25-year old is capable of.
