Sheffield Wednesday picked up their second win of the Championship season as they beat Birmingham City 1-0 at St. Andrew's on Saturday.

Garry Monk, who was returning to his former club, will have been impressed with his team as they were solid at the back, controlled in possession and they ultimately took the points thanks to a Barry Bannan penalty.

Obviously, the Owls remain bottom because of the points deduction but they will believe they can get out of the relegation zone in the coming months and the next challenge that awaits is Brentford this week.

The Bees come to Hillsborough after a mixed start to the campaign but everyone knows the quality they have so it will be a huge test for Monk's side.

And, here we look at TWO decisions the boss will be mulling over ahead of the clash...

Quiz: Do Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United have these 10 things in common?

Whether to start Jack Marriott

Bringing in the striker on deadline day was a coup for the Owls but he had to start on the bench against Blues.

However, he is an out-and-out number nine and his willingness to run in behind and his pace could be crucial against a Brentford side that are aggressive in the way they push up.

It would be a risk making changes after an impressive win but Marriott could be ideal on the break.

To adopt a more defensive approach

It's not what the fans want to hear but going with a more defensive approach and playing on the counter could be ideal against the Bees.

They are a team that look to dominate the ball and they have talent all over the park. The Wednesday team at Blues had several attacking players in the XI and it may be a risk to go with the same side as they may get picked off.

Having a solidity and springing on the break could be the way to go and that may see another defensive midfielder brought in.
