Sheffield United have once again gotten off to a decent start to the Championship season, with four wins from their opening eight games.

Manager Chris Wilder has got his team playing an attractive brand of football once more, and they look set to at least put up a good fight in the hunt for a Championship playoff place.

The return of star midfielder Paul Coutts is also a massive plus for the Blades, and there will no doubt be plenty of United fans who will be confident that their team can indeed infiltrate the top six after seeing their team run out of steam towards the back end of last season.

The summer proved successful for United in terms of transfers, with relatively little spent following the sale of David Brooks and the signing of Oli Norwood inparticular looking to be an inspired one.

However, January will soon be here, and with that will come plenty of movement within the squad, including a selection of players who Wilder will no doubt move on.

Here, we identify TWO Sheffield United players who will be moved on in January...

Daniel Lafferty

Already second choice to Enda Stevens, the arrival of Marvin Johnson has done the Northern Ireland man no favours, and a move could well be in the offing for Lafferty.

A key performer for United in their League One winning campaign, Lafferty will be starting to think about his place in the squad and his need for football, and could well be someone who Wilder moves on.

Leon Clarke

It might come as a shock to see last season's top scorer named here, but his form has been woeful since the beginning of the year in all honesty.

Clarke might well just need a goal to get his confidence back, but if he continues to fail to hit the back of the net, then Wilder might well aim to cash in the former Wolves man.

It's an important few months for Clarke, and sadly, if his form doesn't pick up, he could well be moved on.
