Sheffield United have won applause for having one of the best production lines in England in the last decade or so, producing many key talents for the national team.

Kyle Walker and Harry Maguire are just two stars that were regulars in England’s semi-final achievement in the 2018 World Cup, with many other starlets in the Premier League being made in Sheffield.

That tradition looks set to continue, with Wilder a firm believer in the transition between youth and first-team.

Although he may not throw many in at the deep end this season, with the automatic promotion race well on, there are many youngsters that will be knocking on his door in coming years to give them a chance.

Here, we look at two of their gems that have shown promise and could push for a first-team spot in the not too distant future.

Do you agree, or have you spotted a better talent ready to make the big step up to the first-team? Let us know in the comments section below.

Marcus Dewhurst

Marcus Dewhurst is a young goalkeeper that may well have his eyes on the number one shirt if Dean Henderson doesn’t extend his loan at the Blades.

He has played for England youth setups and at just 19, is very young for a ‘keeper with his career ahead of him.
