Jos Luhukay's Sheffield Wednesday side have been impressive in his first full season in charge of the Owls, and he will be looking to continue that good form as they host promotion rivals Middlesbrough tonight.

The Owls are unbeaten in their last four league matches and will be confident in producing a positive result in front of a capacity crowd at Hillsborough, where they remain unbeaten this season in the league.

Luhukay will be without playmaker Fernando Forestieri for their clash against Boro through injury but with the likes of Sam Winnall nearing a first-team return, the Sheffield Wednesday boss will be satisfied with the depth in his squad this season, despite the loss of Forestieri.

But with competition for places fierce in the Sheffield Wednesday side, Jos Luhukay will be considering making changes to his starting XI for Friday's match against Middlesbrough.

Palmer may be nervously looking over his shoulder as Owls team mate Sam Hutchinson returned to competitive action for the Sheffield Wednesday Under 23's during the international break.

The right-back has made seven starts this season but he will face competition for his place from Hutchinson who made his return from injury during the week, alongside fellow team mate Morgan Fox.

The striker has made 11 appearances this season but has only scored twice this season in a disappointing individual start to this years campaign.

He was also substituted during the first-half of their last league fixture due to injury, and his replacement certainly took his chance in the side.

Lucas Joao has netted five goals in nine appearances for the Owls and the striker will be pushing for a start in this one as a potential replacement to Fletcher.
