Reports from the Daily Mail emerged yesterday linking Leicester midfielder, Andy King with a move to promotion chasing West Brom ahead of the January transfer window.

The midfielder is yet to make an appearance for the Foxes this season, which will be hugely frustrating for King, who has had to settle for game time in the Leicester under 23's side.

So it will come as no surprise to see King eyeing a move elsewhere in the New Year, and he could be the missing piece in the jigsaw as West Brom challenge for promotion under Darren Moore.

Some Baggies supporters will see this potential signing as a somewhat, underwhelming one.

King isn't one of those big names that is going to change the course of a game on his own, but he will be a consistent player who would fit into any Championship side this season.

But should West Brom fans be pleased with King being linked to The Hawthorns?

We look at two reasons why they should be pleased here....

The central midfielder has made 372 appearances in total for Leicester in an 11-year-spell with the Foxes.

King has also made 50 appearances for Wales' national side since he earned his first cap in 2009.

So it's fair to say that he would add some much-needed experience to the West Brom team this season and could play a crucial role in their promotion bid.

King was part of the Leicester squad that firstly won promotion to the Premier League in 2014, but he then also played a part in their title-winning season in the Premier League in the 2015/2016 season.

King would fit in perfectly in the West Brom side with his winning mentality and would be confident of playing an important part in their promotion ambitions in this year's campaign.
