Aston Villa fans will admit that their star man, Jack Grealish, has failed to live up to the expectation set of him this season, after such an impressive season last year for Villa as they suffered an agonising play-off final defeat at Wembley.

But they might just be about to see the real Jack Grealish turn up after an impressive performance at the weekend in their win over Bolton.

The youngster had a difficult start to the season, which is understandable, given that he was used as a winger under Steve Bruce, but since Smith has arrived at the club, he has looked like a completely different player.

Grealish scored one and had a hand in Villa's second goal, and he will be keen to rediscover his best form.

If the 23-year-old can do that, then it is likely we could see Premier League clubs come calling for his service when the transfer window reopens in January.

Grealish has looked like a player reborn under the management of Dean Smith, and he will be hoping to impress his new boss in the CAM role this season.

We look at the reasons why things are only looking up for Grealish after his impressive performance at the weekend...

Grealish will be delighted to finally get his first goal of the season in the win over Bolton at the weekend and he will be hoping to kick-on for the rest of the season.

If he can rediscover the form that made him a fans favourite in recent years, then he is sure to attract interest from the likes of Tottenham again, when the transfer window reopens in January.

Aston Villa's talisman had struggled to find his feet this season when Steve Bruce was in charge but with Smith giving Grealish the freedom in the CAM role, he is starting to see the exciting potential that Grealish has to offer this season for Aston Villa.
