2 reasons why PL man would be perfect for Leeds following transfer update

Marcelo Bielsa was dealt a frustrating injury blow to one of his goalkeepers during the international break, which leaves him desperately short options between the sticks.

Jamal Blackman picked up a nasty looking injury during an under 23’s game in midweek, and he is set to be ruled out for the foreseeable future.

The news will be a huge blow to Marcelo Bielsa who would have been tempted to start the goalkeeper in place of Bailey Peacock-Farrell who has made some costly errors in recent weeks that have cost the Whites vital points in their promotion bid this season.

But Bielsa seems to have made a former England goalkeeper his number one target heading into the transfer window.

According to TEAMtalk, The Leeds boss is targeting Burnley goalkeeper, Tom Heaton as a potential replacement for the injured Jamal Blackman when the transfer window reopens in January.

The 32-year-old is yet to feature for Burnley this season after falling down the pecking order behind Nick Pope and Joe Hart at Turf Moor.

But could Heaton be exactly what Leeds have been missing this season?

We look at the two reasons as to why he would be the perfect signing for Marcelo Bielsa’s side in January.
