Marcelo Bielsa was dealt a frustrating injury blow to one of his goalkeepers during the international break, which leaves him desperately short options between the sticks.
Jamal Blackman picked up a nasty looking injury during an under 23’s game in midweek, and he is set to be ruled out for the foreseeable future.
The news will be a huge blow to Marcelo Bielsa who would have been tempted to start the goalkeeper in place of Bailey Peacock-Farrell who has made some costly errors in recent weeks that have cost the Whites vital points in their promotion bid this season.
But Bielsa seems to have made a former England goalkeeper his number one target heading into the transfer window.
According to TEAMtalk, The Leeds boss is targeting Burnley goalkeeper, Tom Heaton as a potential replacement for the injured Jamal Blackman when the transfer window reopens in January.
The 32-year-old is yet to feature for Burnley this season after falling down the pecking order behind Nick Pope and Joe Hart at Turf Moor.
