Sheffield United have recently announced the loan signing of Cardiff City striker, Gary Madine, which has been met with a mixed reaction from Blades supporters.
Many would have argued that Chris Wilder didn’t need to sign any strikers this season, with their attacking firepower already being one of the best in the Championship.
The likes of Billy Sharp and David McGoldrick has formed a formidable partnership this season, which has meant that Leon Clarke has been pushed down the pecking oder in Wilder’s side.
Clarke’s lack of game time will be a concern, especially given that Connor Washington has also arrived at Bramall Lane this season, with competition for places extremely high in the Sheffield United side.
With Madine’s arrival, there will be questions raised about Clarke’s future at the club, and he could be tempted by a a move away from the club for the remainder of this year’s campaign.
But why won’t Clarke be happy with the latest new arrival at Sheffield United?
