Leeds United are certainly justifying their pre-season promotion credentials and many supporters will be confident that Marcelo Bielsa is the man to take the Whites back to the Premier League this season.

Bielsa's men have been hugely impressive this season and they will be looking to cement their position in the automatic promotion places over the festive period.

The likes of Kemar Roofe, Mateusz Klich and Pablo Hernandez have been the star men for Leeds this season and they will hope to continue their good run of form.

But, could Marcelo Bielsa be tempted to add to his squad with the January transfer window edging ever-closer?

One man that the Leeds boss could be eyeing a deal for is Shinji Okazaki, who looks set to leave Leicester in January, according to the Daily Mirror.

Okazaki's current contract expires in the summer and Leeds could certainly benefit from having someone of Okazaki's calibre in their side as they challenge for promotion.

We look at the reasons why Leeds should be eyeing a deal for one-time Premier League winner Okazaki here....

Marcelo Bielsa already has a number of impressive young players in his squad that have played a crucial part in Leeds' promotion push this season.

Adding someone of Okazaki's experience could be really shrewd.

He's won the Premier League and played at a good standard internationally.

Leeds' younger players could benefit from him.

Okazaki, who played a crucial part in Leicester' title winning season, would fit into Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds side as they mount their own challenge for promotion to the Premier League.

He's great at leading the line and stretching defences, which is just what Bielsa wants from his strikers.

Okazaki wouldn't be a starter every week, but when called upon he'd let nobody down and would fit into Leeds' system with ease.
