Nottingham Forest have finally begun to show their quality in the current season under Aitor Karanka and look set to be challenging at the right end of the table.

One win in their opening seven matches of the campaign led to some fans questioning the ability of the Spaniard and whether it might be time for a change already.

Karanka has brought in 17 new faces since the end of last season so it should not have been too big a surprise to see them start slowly.

The final player they brought in was Karim Ansarifard on a free transfer after he was released by Olympiacos in the summer.

The 28-year-old has always boasted an impressive goalscoring record wherever he has played and Karanka will be looking for a way to fit him into his line-up.

With Lewis Grabban in fine form, it will be hard to justify taking him out.

But here are TWO reasons why the Spaniard should take a risk and do just that...

Despite a decent scoring return, Grabban's performances have been far from brilliant.

A lot of chances have gone begging for him including missing two penalties already this season.

Taking him out would send a message that he must be even more ruthless in front of goal.

It could inspire competition between the pair.

At the moment Grabban undoubtedly feels like he is comfortably the club's first-choice striker.

If Karanka were to shake things up it could really heat up the competition between the pair and get the best out of them both.
