Blackburn Rovers have made a steady enough start to life in the Championship this season following promotion from League One last term.
Manager Tony Mowbray will be pleased with his side’s efforts since they got themselves back into the second tier, and he will be hoping his team can kick on as they go into busy Christmas and New Year period.
The club are looking to strengthen their ranks further, and according to Alan Nixon today, Rovers are eyeing up a move for Southampton striker Sam Gallagher.
The 23-year-old has had a spell with Rovers before, when he fired in 11 goals during a spell at Ewood Park the season before last.
Gallagher has failed to kick on since making his debut for the Saints back in 2013, and following various loan spells away from the club, he will be hoping to finally kick on if a move to Ewood Park materialises again.
