Sheffield Wednesday have enjoyed an encouraging start to the season, clawing five points back after a 12-point deduction in the off-season.

The international break has come at a good time for the Owls, who have been focusing on the remainder of the transfer window over the last fortnight.

As has become the norm, things have been allowed to slip towards the final 24 hours, with Wednesday still in the mix to make a couple of signings ahead of tomorrow's transfer deadline.

Quiz: Do Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United have these 10 things in common?

A strong end to the summer transfer window would really shape Wednesday's squad and strengthen Monk's chances of pulling off something of a great escape.

Here, we assess TWO realistic signings Wednesday could make ahead of tomorrow's deadline...

Kenneth Zohore

It's become quite clear that Wednesday want another striker through the door this summer.

Zohore has been heavily linked for large parts of the summer and he's a player that we could see make the move to South Yorkshire if everything falls into place for the Owls.

The 26-year-old scored five goals for West Brom last season, with three of those coming in the Championship.

He's got admirers elsewhere in the Championship, which does complicate things.

Aden Flint

At the other end of the pitch, Monk wants another body through the door.

A man that's been linked is Cardiff City centre-back Aden Flint.

The 31-year-old has spades of experience in the Championship, having played for Bristol City, Middlesbrough and Cardiff. He'd be comfortable in Monk's three-man defence and would add some extra aerial threat.

Signing him, plus Zohore, would be the perfect end to the window.
