Sheffield United can look ahead to next season knowing they will be playing Premier League football after a memorable campaign.

The Blades have shocked the Championship really to secure a place in the top two and could yet go up as champions if results go their way tomorrow.

However, as good as they have been, manager Chris Wilder will also be fully aware of what he needs to add to his squad in order to improve the quality sufficiently enough to ensure his team make a good go of things in the top flight.

There are bound to be some players who are simply out of reach for United, but armed with Premier League riches, Wilder will no doubt have his eye on one or two signings who he feels can make a big difference to his squad.

He's not going to go spending huge sums, but instead will look to get value for money on players he feels can bring something to his team.

With that then, we had a look at TWO realistic signings Sheffield United could look to make now they have sealed promotion...

Ryan Woods

Former Brentford midfielder and now Stoke City man Woods is a fine footballer who fits the mould of what Wilder's teams are all about.

The Blades will need strength in depth in the middle of the park as Oliver Norwood and John Fleck seek support from the rest of the squad, and Woods would be a superb addition.

Despite only moving to the Potters last summer, Stoke are expected to have something of a clearout, meaning the door could be open for United to make their move for the impressive midfielder.

Rico Henry

In Enda Stevens, United have one of the finest attacking left backs in the top two divisions at the moment, and he will no doubt be first choice yet again.

However, over a long Premier League season, depth could be everything, and Brentford man Rico Henry has proved himself to be more than good enough this year.

Brentford are not averse to selling their players and moving them on for profit, and Henry could represent a solid and cheap enough option for Chris Wilder to look at.
