Reading currently find themselves in 21st place and are just three points clear of the relegation zone.

The Royals have picked up a mere nine points from their last 11 games, with their six-point deduction keeping them in a relegation battle at present.

January could be a big month for Veljko Paunovic's side, and that mainly focuses on the outgoing side of things, with Reading still operating under a transfer embargo.

The Royals can still bring in players on free deals and on loan but they are restricted when it comes to paying player wages.

Turning the attention back onto the outgoings, here, we take a look at two Reading players who could be eyeing a January move away from the Select Car Leasing Stadium...

George Puscas

George Puscas was presented with a real opportunity to shine this season with Lucas Joao and Yakou Meite facing time on the sidelines.

However, the 25-year-old is yet to net his first goal of the season in 21 Championship appearances, with 14 of those coming in the form of starts.

Romanian outlet Fanatik has reported that Serie A club Cagliari are casting their eyes over the Romanian forward, further stating that the Italian outfit are considering a loan-to-buy deal.

Puscas has severely struggled for the Royals this season and a move away is looking increasingly likely, with a fresh start looking increasingly likely and favourable.

John Swift

John Swift has long been an integral figure for the Royals and it appears that his importance has risen this season.

Swift has chipped in with eight goals and nine assists in 22 Championship appearances this season, whilst providing pleasing statistics in other final third metrics.

Leeds United are currently eyeing a deal for the 26-year-old midfielder, as per a report from Football Insider, with Swift's contract expiring in June.

Reading face the difficult decision of cashing in now, or losing him for free in the summer.

A chance to move to the Premier League could be too big of an opportunity to miss out for the midfield maestro.
