Queens Park Rangers have had a good start to the season, as they currently sit inside the top 10 in the Championship table.

Mark Warburton’s side will be looking to consolidate in mid-table this season after a disappointing campaign last term saw them finish 19th with 51 points.

The R’s standout players so far have been Eberechi Eze and Nahki Wells, chipping in 10 goals between them in the league.

In recent seasons, QPR have had to be shrewd when it comes to recruitment, promoting academy players into the first team and trying to sign gems on free transfers after years of spending beyond their means as a Premier League club.

The club has been recognised for nurturing the likes of Raheem Sterling and Darnell Furlong in their academy, so FLW are looking to see who the next wave of young talent that will be coming out of West London.

Stephen Duke-McKenna

The 19-year-old signed for the Hoops in the summer from Bolton Wanderers on a free transfer, and has already represented Guyana at international level, receiving two caps for his national team.

Duke-McKenna was born in Liverpool, and came through the Everton youth system. He also made the substitutes bench for the Toffees in a 2017 Europa League fixture against Apollon Limassol.

He is a skilful left-winger, and when playing for Bolton’s Under-23’s last season in the Under-18’s Premier League, the Guyanese achieved a tally of 6 assists. QPR have an exciting player on their hands.

Lewis Walker

The left-winger signed a new deal at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium in May 2019, that commits him to the R’s for another year.

QPR signed Walker from Derby in November 2018, making his debut for the first team under caretaker boss John Eustace in April, making an appearance for the side off the bench.

He is the son of former Sheffield Wednesday and England centre-back Des Walker, and younger brother to on-loan Nottingham Forest striker, Tyler.
