It's been a tough old Championship season for QPR and the international break might just have come at the right time.

The Hoops have recently dismissed manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink following a 1-1 draw with fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest this weekend and the chance to regroup over the break may prove to be ideal.

The club have got a tough run of fixtures in the coming weeks and with Christmas also a hectic time, the chance to have a breather domestically might serve the club well.

But for some on the books at Loftus Road, the international chance gives the opportunity to compete for your country.

And we're expecting a host of QPR players to feature for their international sides in the coming days, but who should you be keeping an eye on?

With that in mind, here's TWO QPR players to look out for during the international break....

Conor Washington

Whilst he's been somewhat outshone by Idrissa Sylla at club level this season, Conor Washington still has a very big role to play in the Northern Irish national team over the next couple of weeks.

His team play a tough-looking Croatia side in a friendly which will give him an excellent chance to show QPR fans what he is all about on the international stage.

With a new manager imminent at Loftus Road, the chance to play won't be sniffed at by the former Peterborough man.

Michael Petrasso

Canadian international winger Michael Petrasso has had a tough season at Loftus Road and he'll be glad to be part of the Canadian national team's game against South Korea later this week.

The 21-year-old winger has plenty of potential but had found it hard to break into Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's QPR side.

The chance to play at international level will be much appreciated, especially with a new manager on the way at Loftus Road.

A good performance could be just the springboard for first-team selection.
