It has been confirmed that Steven Fletcher has joined Championship club Sheffield Wednesday on a free transfer, the clubs official website reports.
Fletcher, who spent the second part of last season on loan at French giants Marseille, will be hoping that he can rekindle his form to fire his new club one step further than they managed last season.
The twenty-eight year-old has played for two of Scotland’s youth teams and has represented the Tartan Army twenty-eight times at senior level, scoring a respectable four goals.
Fletcher’s experience on the international stage could prove invaluable to the Owls for the upcoming campaign.
Fletcher is no doubt a very big name and is a clinical finisher with a proven history, however this move does come with some doubts. And in this article, Football League World’s Jack Sharp looks at two pros and two cons of the Scottish international’s move to Sheffield.
