Nottingham Forest are set to turn their attention to two Premier League forwards, after being dealt a major blow in their pursuit of Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah.
The Reds were believed to be chasing the signature of the 20-year-old on loan until the end of the season, after he was recalled from his loan spell at Leeds United on New Year's Day.
But despite looking set to leave the Emirates Stadium, it has now been revealed that Nketiah will stay at Arsenal and be given a chance to impress under Mikel Arteta in the first-team.
The Evening Standard claim that Forest are now set to switch their attention to two Premier League forwards - the Reds are said to have made enquiries for Crystal Palace's Connor Wickham.
The report also claims that Forest have enquired about the availability of Watford striker Andre Gray, as Sabri Lamouchi looks to provide cover for Lewis Grabban up top.
Can you get 14 out of 14 on this Forest quiz?
Forest simply need to sign another centre-forward this month after Rafa Mir was recalled by Wolves, leaving Grabban as their only out-and-out striking option.
As Gray is a new link, here, we take a look at two pros and two cons to Forest signing the 28-year-old...
Pro 1: Proven goalscorer
Forest fans are undoubtedly bound to feel excited about this potential signing, largely because Gray is a proven goalscorer at Championship level.
The 28-year-old scored 18 goals as Brentford made the Championship play-off semi-finals in 2014/15, before sealing a move to Burnley.
Gray went on to score more goals the following season, netting 25 times in 44 appearances as Sean Dyche's side won promotion to the Premier League.
He would adapt to life back in the second tier with ease if he made the drop back down.
Pro 2: Point to prove
13 of Gray's 20 appearances in the Premier League this season have come from off the bench, so if he did drop down to the Championship, then he would be keen to prove that he can still cut it in the top tier.
Gray has scored 16 goals in a total of 88 appearances for the Hornets, and he will still have aspirations of playing at the highest level at the age of 28.
If he dropped down a division, then he would be determined to bounce back at the first time of asking - that motivation and drive can only be beneficial for Forest.
Con 1: Cost
Of course, Watford won't let Gray leave on the cheap, especially having signed him for a club-record fee of £18.5m in the summer of 2017.
The 28-year-old put pen to paper on a five-year deal upon his arrival at Vicarage Road, so it's not as if Forest will be able to get him for a cut-price because of his contract situation, either.
It would be a risk for Forest to pay over the odds for a player who might not even get into the team straight away ahead of Grabban, and you wonder if it would allow Lamouchi to strengthen in any other areas of the pitch too.
Con 2: What does this mean for Grabban?
On the topic of Grabban, you do wonder what this potential addition would do to his confidence and morale.
The 31-year-old has scored 14 goals this season and has been an incredibly important player for the Reds, and it would be so harsh to drop him if Gray were to come in.
In the 4-2-3-1 system, there is only obviously one spot for a centre-forward, and Gray will not wwant to leave the Premier League to become a backup option at the City Ground.
They need to think about what they already have before bringing in someone else.
