Danny Loader's contract runs out at Reading in the summer, and the young English striker is once again being targeted by a Premier League outfit.

Europa League side Wolverhampton Wanderers showed their interest in the summer as the 19-year-old looked like he could be on his way to Molineux, however the deal fell through for the England youth international at the last minute.

Now, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United are interested in the striker according to Sky Sports, and are monitoring the situation of the youngster who has appeared six times for the Royals this campaign.

Here, we take a look at two pros and two cons to the English giants taking Loader to Old Trafford...

United get an exciting young talent - Pro

If the Old Trafford giants were to land Loader, then they would get an exciting talent from a Championship club who could come in and boost their ranks for the future.

In a different scenario to the transfer of Dan James to Old Trafford from Swansea City last summer, Loader has less experience and would be less of a first-team player however he would be a player for the future.

Can develop him to suit their style - Pro

Manchester United taking Loader to Old Trafford early on in his career would be the best move for the club.

The 19-year-old could be developed into suiting the Manchester United philosophy and becoming a player that will be less raw when he is eventually ready for Premier League or European football further on down the line.

Won't be ready for first-team football just yet - Con

One bad point about the potential of Loader heading to Manchester United is that he won't be ready for regular football at an even higher level than what he's already at just yet.

United could agree a pre-contract agreement with the youngster in order to take him to Manchester next summer, but even then the youngster more than likely won't have reached 40 senior appearances.

Could be a bad influence on the dressing room - Con

Loader's departure from Reading looks like it could be turning out as an acrimonious one, with both player and club having failed to agree a new contract so far.

With the striker now being frozen out of Reading with minimal appearances this season, he looks like departing the Royals with his head not held very high at all as the club from Berkshire will be disappointed to see him depart.
