Leeds United have started this season in fine form and look set to be one of the challengers in the race for promotion.

We have, of course, seen this before with the last two seasons offering such hope at one point or another with the most recent campaign underlining how quickly things can go wrong.

In Marcelo Bielsa, though, they have a top class manager and he'll be determined to get the best out of his squad this season.

However, there is a pretty prominent feeling among many that some new faces could still be needed just to bolster the squad that little bit more.

With that in mind, then, we've been thinking about whether Tomas Kalas should come in on loan to the club from Chelsea.

Here, then, are two reasons for and two against any potential move for the Blues' defender in the coming weeks before the deadline...

The most obvious one.

Kalas played plenty of games for Fulham during his time there and has experience of the play-off run in and, ultimately, winning promotion.

Leeds are going for the top spots again this season and having someone that's done it would certainly be a big boost.

For a centre-half, his tackling could be improved.

He reads the game well which negates his need a bit to be able to win the ball but when it comes to it he could be better.

Leeds fans like their players to get their foot in and come out with the ball, Kalas would need to improve on that.

He's bang in his prime and will be for the next few years.

At 25 we should see him putting in some fine performances and therefore he needs to go away from Chelsea once more.

Leeds could well benefit by bringing him in this season.

Perhaps not a massive con but one to consider for the harmony of the squad.

Bielsa wants a tight-knit group and bringing Kalas in means one of him, Pontus Jansson or skipper Liam Cooper won't be playing.

Rotating will need to be key but, ultimately, all three want to play every game and Bielsa will have to make sure he keeps everyone happy.

Nothing major, but one to keep an eye on.
