One question that will be on the minds of Norwich fans is that should Ricky Van Wolfswinkel stay at the club.

As a Norwich fan myself, I am very interested in selling him.

When he first signed for the club he broke the club's transfer record signing of £8 million and had an awful season of only scoring 1 goal in around 30 games played.

Despite having been injured at one point this was still quite negative.

Since then, he's played for Ligue 1 side, St Etienne and La Liga side Real Betis, where he's also played poorly at both sides.

Here's 2 pros and 2 cons of him staying at the club......

Pro 1 - The Championship is not like the Premier League

As we all know the difference between the Premier League and the Championship is massive.

This would mean that Van Wolfswinkel could potentially have a better season than his first season with Norwich, and the previous two seasons with St Etienne and Real Betis.

Before he went to Real Betis last season he banged in a goal in the Cup against Rotherham, which shows he can cope with this level and maybe he just needs to get used to English football.

Pro 2 - Norwich only have 3 first team strikers

This means even though Norwich might want to try and sign one or two strikers for this upcoming season, Van Wolfswinkel will have to compete for a place in Alex Neil's starting 11 against Jerome and Lafferty, which gives him more of a chance.

You may wonder if Carlton Morris will be given a chance in the squad this year?

Wolfswinkel certainly has a chance of getting into the club's frontline next season.

Con 1 - His wages

Alongside his signing fee, and other players at the club, his wages are likely to be pretty sizeable.

Since Norwich have had a lot of changes in board recently and it wouldn't be a surprise of him, and the club decide to move on.

Con 2 - 1 goal in around 30 games

I may have said as the first pro that the Championship is not at all like the Premier League BUT, only 1 goal scored in 30 games is well and truly shocking and may be why many Norwich fans want him out.

A striker's job is to score goals on a regular basis, but Van Wolfswinkel has really struggled to hit the ground running during his time in England.
