Leeds United are reportedly interested in Rangers central midfielder Glen Kamara.

The 24-year-old has made 20 appearances for Steven Gerrard's side this season and has become a key figure in the side's midfield in recent weeks.

The Finland international has featured 36 times for Rangers since he joined them in January–arriving for just £50,000 as his contract was running out at Dundee.

According to Football Insider, Kamara is on Leeds' radar and the Yorkshire club's scouts have been to Ibrox to watch him this season.

It is understood they see him as a target for next summer rather than January, with any business they do at the turn of the year likely to be impacted by the status of their loan players.

The likes of Andrea Radrizzani, Victor Orta, and Marcelo Bielsa will undoubtedly be weighing the advantages and disadvantages of moving for the midfielder.

With that in mind, we have examined two pros and two cons of Leeds sealing a deal for Kamara.

Pro: He has been in fantastic form for Rangers this season.

Kamara has emerged as an important figure in Gerrard's midfield due to the real dynamism he provides both with and without the ball and the way he dictates play.

According to Wyscout, this season, the 24-year-old averages 3.02 interceptions and 7.48 recoveries per game and has a defensive duel success rate of 71%.

With the ball at his feet, Kamara has a hugely impressive pass success rate of 91.7% and a success rate for passes into the final third of 87.8%, as well as providing 15 shot assists this season (Wyscout).

Kamara has looked an impressive player this season and one that could add quality to Bielsa's squad.

Pro: He has impressive pedigree.

Kamara developed through the Arsenal academy and featured regularly for the age-group side, as well as appearing once for the first-team, which indicates he has some excellent pedigree.

The 24-year-old has also come through the Finland age-group sides and has made 13 appearances for the senior national team.

Con: There are question marks whether he can cut it in English football.

Kamara was never able to break through at the Emirates, appearing just once for the first-team, and his success has come north of the border in the Scottish top tier.

With that in mind, there is a question of how well he can adapt to life back in the English game and whether he can transfer his impressive form.

Con: He is unlikely to come cheap.

According to Football Insider, Rangers have already put an £8 million price tag on the midfielder and you'd imagine that will only rise if he continues to perform well for Gerrard's side.

The fact that he has been representing the Scottish side in Europe means that he may be on the radar of some clubs on the continent, which may mean more competition and a higher potential fee.
