It's been a downward spiral for Leeds United over the past couple of weeks, and their poor form under manager Garry Monk has seen them slip out of the Championship play-offs at arguably the worst time of the campaign.

The Whites had been well amongst the promotion chasers for the whole campaign until April rolled around but after too many defeats, their future is now out of their hands and Monk will be waiting on teams like Fulham to slip up over the next two games.

It's a huge kick in the teeth for Whites fans who, for the first time in years, thought they might have a chance at promotion. But that is now looking slim and Monk will have to start preparing for yet another season in the second-tier.

And one man that might not be sticking around for that is Chris Wood, who has had a terrific season for the Whites this season.

But if he does leave, who should Monk bring in?

So with that in mind, here's TWO potential replacements for Chris Wood if he leaves Leeds for the Premier League this summer...

Daryl Murphy

There's little doubt that with Newcastle United's promotion back to the Premier League confirmed, the Magpies will be looking to get rid of some of their deadwood over the summer months.

And one man that could be axed is Daryl Murphy, who hasn't exactly made the biggest impression having signed from Ipswich Town last summer.

He's a player that is proven at this level with game-time though and would certainly slot into this Leeds side with real ease too.

Che Adams

With managerial doubt hanging over St Andrews like a big cloud at the moment, the futures of many Birmingham City stars is looking unclear this summer.

And there's one man that we think would do a cracking job at Elland Road who's currently on the books at St Andrews and that's former Sheffield Untied man Che Adams.

He's not had as good a season as hoped this campaign but under the right leadership he's got serious potential.

He's quick, works hard and has a real eye for goal too.
