Luton Town have rekindled hope of staying in the Championship having won three of their last four fixtures.

It looks an uphill battle but they now have an opportunity of extending stay in the division past just one season.

If the Hatters do maintain their status then, clearly, they will have different transfer plans than if they are relegated.

Either way, they will no doubt have a number of pieces to business to attend to in the upcoming transfer window.

Here are TWO Luton transfer scenarios we could see play out in the summer months...

Danny Hylton departs

The Luton striker is hardly getting a game in the Championship and has made just two appearances this season. At 31, he is not getting any younger, so it would be unlikely to see him stay at the Hatters past the summer.

Hylton's contract expires in the summer, so he will be available on a free. If Luton did go down, it would be very interesting to see if Graeme Jones changed his mind and decided they want to keep him, though at the moment it is hard to see that happening.

He could be a good signing for a team in League One or League Two, so there is likely to be some interest from elsewhere.

Elliot Lee ending his stay

Elliot Lee was a key component for quite a few years at the Hatters but just like Hylton, he hasn't even been given a chance in the Championship and it looks as though he'll depart at the end of the season.

Again, if Luton were to drop to League One, he might well stay especially seeing as he's just 25-years-old.

Lee would be a great addition for any lower-league side and he needs to be playing football on a regular basis. It will be very interesting to see what happens to the forward and whether he can kick-start his career elsewhere.
