These next few weeks of the transfer window will be crucial for Nottingham Forest's chances of ensuring that they secure a top six finish in the Championship this season.

Sabri Lamouchi will be hopeful that he is able to bring in players needed to help strengthen his squad, with the Reds in need of adding to their attacking options in particular, with Rafa Mir having left the City Ground already this month after failing to really make an impact during his loan spell from Wolves.

However, the Reds could also be faced with the prospect of losing some more players between now and the end of the transfer window, and one such player being linked with a potential exit is Chema, with the defender having struggled to really hold down a consistent starting place since arriving in the summer.

Here then, we take a look at TWO further players who could potentially follow Chema out of the club this month...

Michael Hefele

One player who could leave the City Ground this month is Hefele, with the defender unlikely to be able to force his way into the starting line-up during the rest of the campaign, given the likes of Michael Dawson, Joe Worrall and Tobias Figueiredo have all displayed good form throughout the season so far.

Hefele's season has been hampered by injury, which has seen him yet to make an appearance for the Reds under Lamouchi, and given the form of Forest's other options at centre half it could be best for both parties if the 29-year-old were to find a new club during the transfer window.

The defender was a good performer for the Reds when he featured after arrived at the City Ground last season, making 15 Championship appearances, but it looks like he could have played his last game for the club and a departure could help him get his career back on track.

Where did these 15 Nottingham Forest players sign from?

John Bostock

Another player who could potentially leave the City Ground this month is Bostock, with the midfielder having found himself down the pecking order under Lamouchi, behind the likes of Alfa Semedo, Tiago Silva, Samba Sow, Ben Watson and Ryan Yates.

That has seen the midfielder be limited to just three Championship appearances, and with Forest being linked with a potential move for Sheffield United's Luke Freeman, he could find himself even further down the pecking order at the City Ground.

Bostock could therefore potentially benefit from leaving the club this month, and going and getting some regular game time elsewhere, and that would also possibly free up some space in the Reds' wage bill for them to bring in other players before the end of the transfer window.
