Millwall have had a solid start to the season so far and they are going to be eager to try and keep that going as they aim to challenge at the right end of the table this year.

The Lions are regularly in and around the play-off places but have often just fallen short in the final stages, and Gary Rowett will want to make sure they get over the line this year if they can.

He's been busy in the transfer window making some good signings and it appears we'll only see one or two more additions, if any, come the end of the window for Millwall now.

However, could we see some exits? We're taking a look at two players that might move on before the end of the transfer window in some capacity...

Besart Topalloj

Quoted by News At Den, Rowett had this to say on potential young players leaving the club, particularly when asked about Topalloj:

“The plan for any young player is that they have to play games to develop, that’s simple.

“From a club perspective, we obviously have to keep the squad sufficient enough that we can compete in the Championship, so we’re balancing off those two things.

“For any of those players, there’s not a closed answer or an open answer. It depends on what loans are available, on the situation with the squad and the timing of everything. Then we’ll assess that as we go."

If Millwall decide Topalloj is more likely to be playing out on loan this season, they will likely sanction it.

Hayden Muller

The same can be said for Muller, who spent time out on loan last season at St Johnstone but did not get the game time he or Millwall would have wanted.

Of course, the Lions need to ensure they are not left short in certain areas of the squad but it is clear there is a desire for them to move on some of their younger players before the deadline comes in the current summer window in order to line them up for regular game-time this year.

Muller has made a few appearances for Millwall in his young career so far but it is clear that he's not quite at the point where he's challenging for regular first-team Championship action and after last season's experience he may want a loan again to prove what he can do and what he's all about.
