Nottingham Forest have been very busy in the transfer window this summer, in a bid to climb up the table and get in to the play-off positions in the 2019/20 season.

Portuguese duo Tiago Silva and Yuri Ribeiro have both joined the club permanently this month, with Sammy Ameobi being signed on a free from Bolton Wanderers in late June.

Midfielder Alfa Semedo has come in on loan from Benfica; part of a double deal that saw both Ribeiro and Semedo join from Benfica on the same day.

There hasn't been a change in just the playing staff either, Martin O'Neill was replaced with Sabri Lamouchi, who has coached a number of clubs including the Ivory Coast national team and French side Rennes.

It has been announced today that Lambouchi has made another signing, bringing in Arijanet Muric on loan from Manchester City.

Here are two players who could follow Muric in to the City Ground this window...

Albert Adomah

According to Sky Sports News, Adomah is currently undergoing a medical at the City Ground ahead of a move to Nottingham.

The winger is currently a free agent after being released by Aston Villa this summer and is looking to plough ahead with his career at the age of 31, before he thinks about retiring in the next few years.

England-born Adomah started off his career at non-league side Harrow Borough before progressing well in his career, making moves to Barnet and then Bristol City, where he made a great impression in the Championship.

His impressive form earned him a move to Middlesbrough, where he helped the Teeside club gain promotion to the Premier League in 2016.

Adomah then moved to Aston Villa, who had recently been relegated from the Championship but showed intent in the transfer market to lure the winger to Villa Park. After a reasonably successful few years at Villa Park, he was released this summer.

Remi Walter

Former OGC Nice midfielder Remi Walter is also target for Forest, reports to the Nottingham Post.

The midfielder is currently a free agent after his contract at Nice expired this summer. He would be a very shrewd signing for Forest, who wouldn't have to pay a single penny in terms of a transfer fee to get him in to the club.

The Frenchman has spent all of his career in France so far, playing for AS Nancy and OGC Nice. As well as playing for these two clubs, Walter also had a loan spell at Ligue 2 side Troyes in 2018.

According to the same Nottingham Post report mentioned, Olympiakos are also interested in the midfielder.

The Greek side and Nottingham Forest have a strong link between them, with Evangelos Marinakis owning both clubs.
