According to The Sun, Aston Villa are looking at trying to bring in Joe Bryan from Bristol City in the summer transfer window.

The Bristol City full-back has had a fine campaign for the Robins and there can be no doubt that he has been one of the better defenders in the league.

For sure, then, he is capable of making the step up to the Premier League and, as things stand, Villa look better placed than the Ashton Gate outfit to provide just that.

For sure, then, it's a move you could see happening but, with that said, who else could Villa go after in the summer if they are promoted or otherwise?

Here are two players we think they should perhaps consider making a move for in the next market as well...

Bettinelli has had a great campaign with Fulham and could find himself going up with them when you consider their form.

If they fall short, though, should Villa make a move?

Surely, they're aiming to get Sam Johnstone in permanently but if that falls apart they'll need a new stopper and Bettinelli may be the answer.

Powell is way too good for League One and should be a Championship level player next season if he stays with Wigan.

However, could he be good enough for the Premier League as well? Certainly, he is progressing nicely and with Villa a team on an upward curve he would fit into that environment nicely.

It's a slight risk, but Powell looks to be reaching his potential at the moment.
