Chris Coleman has already had a big impact at Sunderland, with the Wearside club grinding out their first win since August in Saturday's crunch encounter at Burton.

Whilst it keeps the Black Cats in the relegation zone, they're now up to 22nd and just two points away from safety.

However, many fans will realise that there's a lot of work for the former Wales manager to do and the January window could be the biggest the club have had for years.

The new manager will be restricted in the market, therefore shipping players out will be key to raising funds.

Didier Ndong is one man who would go and free up a significant wage, but who else could Sunderland shift? Here we look at two more players who could depart the Stadium of Light in January...

Lamine Kone

There are many underperforming, high earning players that Coleman would love to get rid of. Jack Rodwell, who is the only man who didn't take a 40 per cent pay cut when the club were relegated, is the obvious one. However, no one is going to pay him anywhere near the money he is on in the North East.

One man who might command interest is Lamine Kone. The Ivory Coast international has been abysmal at times, but his performances in the Premier League when Sunderland survived might be enough to convince someone that there's a good player in there.

Kone would welcome a move with open arms too. A big issue is his fitness, with the centre-back not expected to return to fitness until mid-January.

However, if he is fit and available a move would benefit everyone.

Donald Love

Donald Love won't be commanding big wages, but he could easily be on the move in January as he just can't get a game at the minute.

The former Manchester United man hasn't made a league appearance this season, although he might be encouraged by the appointment of Chris Coleman who has brought him back into the fold by putting him on the bench since taking over.

Nevertheless, at 22-years old he is no longer a young kid and will want to go out and get regular football. That doesn't look like happening at the Stadium of Light.
