After a disastrous start to the season, QPR picked up a massive win against Wigan Athletic last time out to lift themselves off the bottom of the Championship.

Even at this early stage of the campaign, there were serious questions to R's boss Steve McClaren after they were embarrassingly beaten 7-1 at West Brom.

A 3-0 defeat at home to Bristol City followed, which prompted the manager to move for Nahki Wells and Tomer Hemed to boost the squad.

The latter made an immediate impact, scoring the winner against the Latics. However, the squad still looks weak in certain areas and new faces could be brought in by the 5pm deadline on Friday.

Yet, with the club's well-documented FFP issues, they will always be looking to offload players who aren't needed.

Here we look at two potential departures at Loftus Road by the time the loan window shuts...

The arrival of Hemed and Wells means that Washington has fallen down the pecking order under McClaren.

With Matt Smith and talented youngster Paul Smyth among the other forward options at Loftus Road, it's hard to see where Washington fits in.

He has struggled since joining the R's and a move elsewhere could benefit his career.

Similarly, the new strikers joining mean that Sylla is going to struggle to play at all.

He's managed just three substitute appearances and was not even in the squad for the Wigan game which suggests he could be on his way.

Quite simply, McClaren now has better options and it would make sense for Sylla to leave. He can still do a job elsewhere and again it's a move that would suit all parties.
