Cardiff City are looking to gain promotion back to the Premier League after relegation last season and manager Neil Harris will be relying on his entire squad during the run-in.

The Bluebirds are currently sat ninth in the Championship after Harris turned their form around since being appointed manager in November following Neil Warnock's resignation.

The club are three points behind sixth-placed Preston North End as they prepare for a couple of  weeks that could define their season.

Here, we take a look at two players that need to raise their game during the final few months of the season if Cardiff are to secure a play-off spot...

Robert Glatzel

The summer signing has been slightly disappointing since arriving at the club last summer from German club Heidenheim.

The 26-year-old has struggled with niggling injuries across the season which has limited him to 19 league appearances.

He has netted four goals in those games as the Cardiff fans seem to be divided over what he brings to the team.

Glatzel is a physical striker who doesn't seem afraid to use his height and build to put other defenders off but he has often struggled to hold the ball up.

He has shown glimpses of his technical ability when the ball has been played into him on the floor and he has shown composure in front of goal on occasions but he will need to step up his game over the next few months if he is to lead the line again this season.

Aden Flint

The centre-back signed for the club from Middlesbrough last summer but he has been largely disappointing this season compared to the form he has shown at previous clubs.

The defender has become known to be a threat from attacking set-pieces but has only netted three this season in 26 league appearances and Harris has taken the brave decision to drop him from the starting XI.

Flint hasn't started a game since New Year's Day and he has been an unused substitute seven times since in the Championship.

There could be a time where Harris has to call upon him to slot back into the centre of defence and prove his worth to the club during a crucial time of the season.

He will have to step up his game during the next few months if Harris has to break up the strong centre-back partnership of Curtis Nelson and Sean Morrison.
