Swansea City will be aiming for their third consecutive victory when they travel to face Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday following wins against Cardiff and Wigan in recent weeks.

Steve Cooper's side ended a run of just one win in seven matches when they defeated bitter rivals Cardiff in late October, while they then followed this up with a late 2-1 victory over Wigan last weekend to move to fourth in the table.

This means the Swans can be satisfied with the start they have made to the campaign, with Cooper having now won eight of his 15 league games since taking over as head coach, and a win over Wednesday could send them into the automatic promotion spots.

Cooper decided to stick with a fairly consistent starting line-up during the opening weeks of the season before rotating the squad more freely in recent weeks, but there are still a number of players who will feel they should have perhaps received more playing time this term.

Here are two players Cooper should be looking to use more over the coming matches...

Kristoffer Peterson

Peterson has only made one league start since arriving at Swansea from Heracles over the summer, but he delivered an impressive wing performance during this match despite his side losing 3-0 to Brentford.

The Sweden international has been an unused substitute for Swansea's last two matches, but Cooper will surely be looking to deploy the 24-year-old again in the near future, even though he has stuck with wingers Wayne Routledge and Nathan Dyer for the last two matches.

Peterson caused serious problems for the Brentford defence during his appearance on the left wing, and he looks capable of providing the direct attacking threat that Swansea have sometimes been lacking this term.

Sam Surridge

Cooper has used the Bournemouth loanee heavily from the bench this season - he has featured in all but three of Swansea's league matches - but he would have been hoping to have made more than just one league start at this stage of the season.

Surridge was kept out of the side by in-form striker Borja Baston at the start of the campaign, while Andre Ayew has now been preferred as the first-choice option in recent matches, but Surridge has made an impact from the bench in the last two games.

The 21-year-old delivered a hard-working performance against Cardiff before scoring a late winner against Wigan over the weekend, and his positive displays should earn him an increased number of minutes in the near future.
