Championship clubs have a constant issue to keep their respective 'top players'. The draw of Premier League football and the money that can be offered outside the Football League is tough to navigate for clubs.

With a hugely inflated transfer market there is more power given to EFL clubs, who are able to command significant fees for players. However, it doesn't always work like that.

Hull City have become a Championship club that is consistently finishing mid-table in the last few years and look like they will be another side who will be in the middle of the pack come the end of this season, unless they can get some consistency.

The club have put faith in a young, relatively unproven manager in Grant McCann after a successful spell managing Doncaster Rovers in League One.

Getting any form of consistency can transform your season, Hull have had a mixed bag of results to start the 2019/20 campaign, which is why they are 14th with nine points so far this season.

Hull aren't expected to be in a relegation scrap this season but they could be sucked into a potentially awkward situation if they're not careful. The Championship is so unforgiving, a few injuries or a couple of bad results can change your whole season.

However, Hull City have themselves TWO quality players who together mean the Tigers are too good to be involved in a relegation battle...

Jarrod Bowen

Having really made a name for himself last season, Bowen has picked up where he left off last season scoring four goals in eight Championship matches from the right-hand side of midfield.

The 22-year-old scored 22 times in 46 games last season and was the subject of a lot of transfer talk, but the winger has stayed with the Tigers and is performing again this season.

It is likely there will be interest in Bowen in January and a quoted £20m fee may have risen already with Bowen's development since last season.

A low centre of gravity and a good turn of pace makes Bowen a very dangerous winger who has an eye for goal and will ultimately, most likely, have to leave Hull City in the near future if he wants Premier League football.

Kamil Grosicki

The Polish international is similar to Bowen in stature and play style, a tricky winger who operates from the left, like Bowen has shone for the club, particularly in the last two years.

Grosicki scored nine times and picked up twelve assists last season, he has backed that up with four goals already this season, with it looking like the 31-year-old may be in for another good season.

Grosicki has a lot of experience and is seemingly getting better and better, and could be tough to keep hold of in January.

Both players are indispensable to Hull and could be the subject of a lot of interest from Premier League clubs in the winter window.

Bowen will benefit from regular first team football at Hull and will also learn a lot from Grosicki, whilst both are playing and performing well together.
