Leeds United remain right in the hunt to land a top two spot come the end of the Championship season.

Sitting in third and just a point behind Sheffield United in second, the Whites will be confident of putting together a run of form which can see them usurp their Yorkshire rivals come season end.

One of the men who will be hoping to play a big part in the run-in in striker Patrick Bamford, who has scored five goals in his last nine games to start repaying some of the big money Leeds paid for him in the summer.

However, if Leeds are promoted, there's a big chance that the club will need to invest in some more attacking talent to ensure they remain a Premier League club.

Bamford has previously struggled in the top flight, and it is quite telling really that he was never even been given the chance by former club Chelsea.

That got us here at FLW thinking, so we took a look at TWO Bamford replacements that Leeds could look to sign if they are promoted...

Aleksandar Mitrovic

With Fulham set to be relegated barring a minor miracle, there is every chance they will lose their star striker Mitrovic as a result.

And what a statement it would be by Leeds if they could land the former Newcastle man in what surely be a mega-money move for the Whites.

Mitrovic would more or less guarantee goals though, and would bring strength, power, and top flight experience to the ranks.

Daniel Sturridge

Another player who is likely to see his time with his current club come to an end, Sturridge will be desperate to get a run of first team football elsewhere.

Leeds could be the ideal place for the England man to ply his trade.

A player who has lost his way somewhat at Anfield, Sturridge still has plenty to offer, and could well thrive in front of the big Elland Road crowd as well as having the chance to be the main striker at such a big club.
