Having suffered an unexpected defeat at the hands of Cardiff City last weekend, Nottingham Forest will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Championship tomorrow when they travel to The Den to face Millwall.

Despite dominating the aforementioned clash with the Bluebirds, the Reds were unable to break down their opponents who secured victory courtesy of a first-half strike from Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.

Currently fourth in the Championship standings, the Reds could temporarily close the gap between them and the automatic promotion places to five points by beating Millwall.

However, given that the Lions have only lost one game under the guidance of new boss Gary Rowett, it is imperative that Forest do not underestimate their opponents.

Here, we take a look at two changes that Reds manager Sabri Lamouchi could make to his starting eleven for his side's clash with the Lions on Friday...

Michael Dawson returns to the heart of defence

A mainstay in Forest's side during the early stages of the 2019/20 campaign, Michael Dawson picked up a calf injury against Stoke City in September.

Since this clash, the defender has been forced to watch on from the sidelines as the Reds have continued to thrive under the guidance of Lamouchi in the Championship.

Having been included in Forest's last three match-day squads, Dawson could potentially make his return to action against Millwall tomorrow in place of Tobias Figueiredo.

Whilst Figueiredo has been relatively impressive in recent weeks, he lacks experience at Championship level compared to Dawson who has played over 100 games in this division and thus may be able to guide the Reds to victory tomorrow.

Alfa Semedo is given a chance to impress in midfield

Since joining Forest on a season-long loan deal from Benfica in the summer, Alfa Semedo has illustrated some real signs of promise at the City Ground.

Excellent in the club's opening eight fixtures of the season, the midfielder then suffered an injury setback which resulted in him missing two months of action.

Having appeared as a substitute in Forest's clashes with Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff, Semedo may be given the chance to impress from the start tomorrow by Lamouchi.

Providing that the 22-year-old is able to deliver the goods against Millwall, he could become a key player for Forest during the remainder of the 2019/20 campaign.
