It didn't take Norwich City long after relegation to rediscover their groove as just 10 games into the Championship season, they sit second in the table.

The Canaries head into the international break on a seven-game unbeaten run in the league, which has included six victories, and will be hoping to carry that momentum into the busy October/November period ahead of the winter World Cup break.

But while morale will be high among the majority of the squad, there may be some at Carrow Road with an eye on a January exit already...

Jordan Hugill

If reports are to be believed, there was interest from EFL clubs in Jordan Hugill ahead of the summer transfer deadline but Norwich opted to keep him at the club to offer depth.

Hugill has played just 41 minutes of Championship football this term and with the Canaries now out of the Carabao Cup, it appears as though

Teemu Pukki and Josh Sargent have found some form while Adam Idah's return from injury may make opportunities even harder to come by for the 30-year-old.

The forward may well be content with waiting for an opportunity in Carrow Road but he could also be considering a January move to a club where he can play more of a central role.

If the latter part of the summer is anything to go by, there should be clubs interested.

Daniel Barden

Another Norwich player that may be hoping to secure a move away from Carrow Road in January is goalkeeper Daniel Barden – though his would likely only be a loan.

The 21-year-old has found himself third in the pecking order this term, behind Tim Krul and Angus Gunn, and as such is yet to play a minute of senior football in 2022/23.

His loan move to Livingstone did not go as planned as a cancer diagnosis forced him to take a break from football but the young shot-stopper is back now and could benefit from some regular first team minutes so he may already be eyeing a move to a League One or League Two club in January.

Barden looks a bright prospect and there shouldn't be any shortage of interest from clubs further down the EFL if he is made available but given he signed a new long-term deal with the Canaries last year, any departure would likely only be temporary.
