Here, we take a look at TWO Millwall youngsters who look set for a very bright future in the game…

Billy Mitchell

The talented young midfielder continues to go from strength to strength after making the step up to the first team squad and is an important member of the team right now.

Mitchell has already made 16 appearances this term and has showcased his versatility to great effect by filling in as a right wing back when required.

Indeed that is a facet of his game that will serve him well in the future, with Rowett liking his players to be adaptable to new and varied systems.

The challenge now for the 20-year-old is to keep hold of his starting spot moving forwards at the Den.

Danny McNamara

The feisty yet competitive and driven right back is fast developing into a great long term successor to Mahlon Romeo at the South London club.

Now aged 22, McNamara has become a key component of the first team squad after returning from a loan spell in Scotland with St Johnstone and continues to improve.

He has everything that Rowett looks for in a wing back and is certainly benefitting from playing alongside a lot of experienced pros.

The defender will now be looking to regain his place in the starting eleven after falling down the pecking order recently.
