With not much of the campaign to go, Garry Monk needs to send his Leeds United scouts out as soon as possible in order to complete any summer transfer dealings.

One problem that arises at a lot of clubs is the fact that they obtain players without doing their homework and that just leads to a number of problems, but if Monk wants to add more youth to strengthen his team then that is what needs to happen.

Manchester United host one of the finest academies in the country and that is where the Whites need to do their research as they look to acquire some of the Red Devils' most promising youngsters.

In the past the Yorkshire outfit have bought first-teamers from bitter rivals - Lee Sharpe swapped Old Trafford for Elland Road in 1996 for a figure of £4,500,000.

Here are TWO current Man. United youngsters that Leeds need to send scouts to watch urgently...

Axel Tuanzebe

The 19-year-old is a prominent member of Manchester United's second team, making twenty appearances for them in Premier League 2.

Axel Tuanzebe made his debut for the top-flight giants in January of this year as he came on as a substitute in their 4-0 FA Cup victory over Wigan Athletic, although the centre-back hasn't played a game for the senior squad since.

Having won eight caps for England under-20s, Tuanzebe is the perfect replacement for Kyle Bartley, who is likely to return to Swansea following his loan spell at Elland Road.

Garry Monk won't know too much about the defender so sending scouts to watch him has to be a priority for success next season.

Matthew Willock

Another prospective figure in United's second team, Matthew Willock has a bright future ahead and would really benefit from a transfer to Elland Road to kick start his career.

The 20-year-old has two brothers who both play for Arsenal, so it's clear they all have talent and the midfielder could be the first to taste first-team action at a competitive club.

Mainly playing in the central area, Willock can be just as effective in a defensive position as well as on the wing. The versatility is there, but Leeds United need to see that for themselves by scouting him as soon as possible.
